Empowering Women Through Skills Development
In December 2024, PARO carried out impactful empowerment activities in the Bole Bamboi District aimed at equipping women and young people with practical vocational and creative skills.
The initiative focused on training participants in soup making, bead making, and photography, providing opportunities for income generation, creativity, and self-reliance. The sessions brought together community members in an atmosphere of learning, collaboration, and empowerment.
Through hands-on demonstrations and interactive engagement, participants gained valuable knowledge in soap production techniques, bead crafting, and basic photography skills. These activities are part of PARO’s commitment to supporting sustainable livelihoods and promoting economic empowerment among vulnerable groups in local communities.
The program also encouraged community participation and confidence-building, especially among women and youth, helping them explore entrepreneurial opportunities and develop skills that can contribute to their personal and economic growth.
Attached are highlights from the activities held in the Bole Bamboi District.
